I cant get a simple question answered correctly. If this is what anystream is then I want nothing more to do with it. My suggestion is stay far away from these people. Ch3vr0n and RedFox 1 are two forum heads who are extremely rude. I had PM a few on the board about this problem, but so far maybe I'm the only one that had the tear down, so I figure I post the pics for you all to see and comment on the problem. Well, the forum support just steered me away from renewing my annual fee. Also I was hoping my ACuraCare will pay for the service, but no dice.ĪNYWAYS, The dealer did a tear down and found the clutch disk had cracked (don't know why) and that was not allowing the springs to disengage and that caused the grabbing feel and the shifting. I didn't think the clutch would be the only problem because there was no slip. So when the dealer told me to diagnose the problem will require a $800 tear down, I was more than pissed. This time, because the difficult shifting, I found the car undriveable especially I drive in stop and go freeway traffic and feared the car will just stop. Although the mechanic had commented a few times that my clutch pedal is harder to press down than other RSX he had worked on, but said there is no problem.
It also has the difficulty 3rd gear problem from the beginning, but dealer can never duplicate the problem. The shifting problem was very intermittent, maybe 1/3 of the time at best, but when it happens, it's with every gear for a while, then will go away for sometime before the problem repeats.Ĭar is a 06 Type-S with 90K miles. At the stoplight, the clutch even dumped once, even though the pedal was fully depressed. The problem was the shifting suddenly became very diffuclt, both going in and out of each and every gear.
